Alarm Systems – SECURITY & MONITORING

Intrusion detection systems (IDS) are alarm systems designed to protect both property and people, with components connected via wired or wireless technology.
The purpose of an intrusion detection system is to:

  • Deterburglaries, thefts, and assaults
  • Minimize the timeintruders have to act
  • Alertpeople in the vicinity and on-site
  • Notifyemergency services (e.g. police, security personnel) in case of alarm
  • Supportthe reconstruction of an incident

In the event of an alarm, the system responds according to its configuration by activating various devices such as dialers, transmission units, sirens, or cameras.
Depending on the signal type, the system may trigger a silent alarm, an audible alarm, or a visual alarm. Based on the location of the response, alarms are further categorized into internal, external, or remote alarms.

Security Grades for Intrusion Alarm Systems:

  • Grade 1:
Basic systems that donot meet police recommendations. These are not recommended for professional use.
  • Grade 2:
Suitable forprivate residences and small businesses. Often accepted by insurance providers as a basis for premium discounts.
  • Grade 3:
Designed forhigher-risk residential properties and larger commercial or public buildings.
  • Grade 4:
Offersmaximum protection and resistance against professional intruders. Ideal for banks, jewelry stores, and critical infrastructure.

As a certified specialist, BEWENG Security only installs alarm systems that comply with European standards (EN 50130 and EN 50131) of Grade 2 or higher.

Planning & Compliance:

For the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of intrusion detection systems, the following standards and guidelines must be observed. These define aspects such as sensor type and placement, signal transmission, anti-tampering measures, and inspection intervals:

  • DIN EN 50131-1; VDE 0830-2-1:2010-02
Intrusion and Hold-Up Alarm Systems – System Requirements
  • DIN VDE 0833-1
Hazard Detection Systems for Fire, Intrusion and Hold-Up – Part 1: General Requirements
  • DIN VDE 0833-3
Hazard Detection Systems – Part 3: Specifications for Intrusion and Hold-Up Systems
  • VdS 2311

Innovative Alarm and Video Systems from AVS

The Italian company AVS electronics has been a market leader in electronic security since 1974. Since 2003, AVS electronics has been part of the RIELLO ELETTRONICA Group. Its continuous growth reflects a strong entrepreneurial tradition, consistent innovation, and cutting-edge “Made in Italy” technology that has established itself in international markets. Based in Legnago, near Milan, AVS is a flagship of the group, setting milestones in the development of new ideas and their practical implementation. AVS offers a wide range of components for electronic intrusion detection systems. Their alarm systems are certified according to EN 50131 Grade 2 and Grade 3 standards.

The product range includes control panels, transmitters, sounders, detectors for perimeter and indoor surveillance, outdoor monitoring, professional perimeter protection using microwave barriers, certified fog systems (EN 50131-8), and wirelessly connected smoke detectors.

CAPTURE and XTREAM

The CAPTURE and XTREAM control panels are hybrid systems that combine the benefits of wired and wireless alarm systems. Wiring is used where it makes sense, and wireless where cabling is impossible or undesirable. Components can be connected via RS485 bus, conventional zone inputs, or radio via wireless gateways. Whether ring, star, or wireless topology – all configurations are possible.

This makes AVS hybrid alarm systems ideal for both new builds and renovations, and the modular design allows for easy expansion.

The CAPTURE control panel is certified according to EN 50131 Grade 2, while XTREAM is certified according to Grade 2 and Grade 3.

Key features of AVS hybrid control panels:

Wired system for maximum security
Combines the advantages of wired and wireless systems via hybrid architecture with wireless gateways
Low maintenance costs, easily expandable via numerous extension modules
Manages 125 detectors, expandable to 640, certified to EN 50131 Grade 2 or 3
